Hi Jamie
I just had a glance on my Emagic Master Software CD (Version 3 with
SoundDiver 2.0). It
reads that it is an hybrid version for Mac and PC. So it shouldn't be a
problem. Just make sure
you properly deauthorize your copy on your old mac to gain the two
authorizations on the
floppy.
Cheers

Hi,
New member here with a quick question, is the public beta a universal
program (Intel
friendly) or just older Macs?

Older Macs.
Hi,
i`m a new member and was wondering what the story is with sounddiver for
osx... I understand there is a beta version but had heard it only works
with a
logic key .
Does anyone know if i could run it stand-alone???

Yes, this is correct. Version 3.1 public beta can be downloaded here:

20X%20SW/

No, it requires an XS key to be present.
kind regards

As already stated, it's a PPC app. However, it's working fine here
under Rosetta on my Mac Pro.

Very interesting! Thanks for that useful news

I would hope it runs ok under Rosetta hehe.. SD never struck me as an
app that needed any kind of hyper Altivec processing so it should be good...
Nowadays it seems ever so cleared that our beloved SD has been left in
the dust unless it magically gets integrated with Logic 8.. Of course I
probably wont be able to afford the new 10 core G12 MacSuperPro required
to just see the splash screen anyways..

Well, I just tried it, it works fine. Unfortunately, the link in my
original post seems to have gotten text wrapped, meaning all you need
to do is copy it onto one line in any text editor, then copy it form
there to your browser.

Just tried all that, allowing for the technicalese, I
removed the %20 additions and got an identical result,
no admission of emagic at apple.com/support for my
browser either. Back to rubbing two sticks together
while listening to Ligetti. Not complaining about the
free help, but just can't benefit as I would like to,
and thought if others got involved it would be useful
to fault-find the link. ({ : { ( it's an old

It works fine for me.
Do not remove the %20, they are needed in the address. The %20 represent
spaces in the address, if you remove them, the address is no longer correct.

How am I supposed to get an XS key for this Sounddiver beta software I
want to use. I bought a JV1010 on eBay and it didn't come with the
software so I am stuck unable to edit my synth (although I would
really like to). Does anyone have the software for the JV1010 handy
so I could buy it from them by chance or can somebody tell me what the
easiest way would be to get one of these XS keys is so I could get the
beta working on my Mac? Thanks.

The XS key is part of the logic pro package. You have to buy logic pro.

Man- people need to learn how to use Google. I found the download
link in like 3 clicks after I Googled 'SoundDiver.' Safari makes it
easy, the search field in Safari *is* Google.
It is always a good idea to Google, in plain English, what you are
looking for before posting here. 9 times out of 10 you will get a) a
faster answer, and, b) a more complete answer. All this time you were
struggling with the % sign you could have been using SoundDiver.

It's very easy- buy Logic Pro. There is no way out of this. If you
search the archives you will see this *same exact* question discussed
a hundred different ways.

Hi Jamie
Oops, the floppy is something I forgot. Mine is also a Mac version. So it
will probably not
work with Windows. I thought it was a "universal version"...

The screensets are saved with the SoundDiver preferences - NOT with
the library. So, when you open SoundDiver, you can make a whole lot
of screensets that relate to the Micro (eg 1-5). When you quit, you
get an alert which asks if you want to <Save Preferences to
"info.emagic.sounddiver"?>
You'll have to click <OK> if you want your screensets to be
remembered for next time.
The screensets will apply to every adaption you open, so if you want
different screensets for different hardware, you'll have to store
them in different screenset numbers (eg 6-9 or 11-19 etc). To get
higher numbers, hold down <ctrl> and type 21 or 31 etc etc.
Hope this helps....

Hi Colins!
First,thanks for you reply!
Finally, I have solved this problem, ;-), For some reason when soundDiver
startup it show the same content in all windows, but when I use the keys
number to recall the screensets , works fine!!
It is very strange because I have save my preferences each time that close
