I'm using a K1r and SD on a PC running Win XP, and I couldn't use the K1r
adaptation, so I tried the keyboard K1 adaptation which also didn't seem to
work until I stuck a RAM card in the synth, and now it works perfectly!

Hi Colin
Just to be quite clear - all the credit should go to Raul Altoja (Fish)
for contributing the files. I only placed them in the files section :-)
kind regards

You need to join the Sounddiver users group as well.
Just subscribe (as you did with LUG) - it will then appear on your
list of groups. When you log in, you'll be able to get to the file
area....

Colin,
Many thanks.

Hi, I'm new user in this group (I discoveder it only today) ... but
I purchased my SD 2 original and registered package since 1998 and I
use it for manage my keyboard setup.
Since the first time I have a big problem: in my setup I have a korg
wavestation ex (keyboard) and a wavestation a/d (rack module).
If I load in SD both the adaptions, when open a ws library it work
as default only with ws a/d and not give me the use for ws ex.
At today I solved the problem deleting both the adaptions in my
default SD setup and loading the specific adaption (ex or a/d) as I
need and deleting it before exit from SD (... not the best solution,
I think ... or hope).
Also, sometimes I've problems when I open a ws ex for upload the
soundset of the ex: appear a system message that say me that the
keyboard answered as not suitable device! (in the library the
assignment of device type is correct ...).
Someone can help me? Can I hope to find a solution? Many thank for
read this message and greetings to all SD users.

Hello,
found sounddiver-cd again. Was wondering how to use it with my RS7K.
Searched the messages but can´t find some helpful hints, tips and
tricks. So I start this new thread and hope you help me - adaptions,
libraries and else I need to use RS7000 with sounddiver.
Couldn´t find RS7K at sounddiver installation.
Waiting for your help and hoping...
Thx
Best regards

This is normal, the patches can only be edited at location 99, kind of a
temporary buffer on
the matrix itself.
edit your patch and save it TO one of the other patches.

Thanks for this info Kelly,
but now the it appears that the Matrix 6R can only receive messages,
not send (no bank, no patch). It's the reason why the synth isn't
scanned in auto modus.
I have checked the midi cables and swapped my two Emagic AMT8
interfaces and even tried a second Matrix 6. Without any success !
Four years ago, on Mac OS 9 everything worked fine.
If someone has an (peacefully) idea...
Best regards, Lucien

Salut Lucien
I tried several times to setup SDbeta under MacOSX with no luck - bugs,
bugs, bugs...
When you still have got the MacOS9 version of SD just install Classic and
OMS. It works ways
better than MacOSX/SDbeta unless you access your AMT8 within MacOSX. Just
make sure
there are no applications running in MacOSX which connect to your AMT8. I've
got no
problems editing my Matrix1000 under Classic/OMS2.3.8/SD3.0.5.
An alternative would be (open source, still under developement)
http://www.jsynthlib.org/
Hope that helps

I just found a standalone editor for the matrix 1000 and 6R
it's freeware too. use google, I think you'll find it pretty easy.
I'm going to give this a try.
After posting I realized I haven't used my Matrix6r much since switching to
OSX and now I
remember why... diver just doesn't cut it on OSX. I used diver since v.1
(even going as far
as making my own adaptations) and I've tried numerous inconvienent
workarounds...like
editing in 9, etc. but that just drives me farther from my synths. I like
my synths better
than I like what diver has become-not very useful- for me it's time to give
up on this
program. Has anyone here tried the midiquest editors? I just downloaded the
demo and it
looks as good as the old diver. I'll have to hook it up tomorrow and see if
it's worth a
purchase.
Quel drag.

just wantd to update this
the matrix editor I found won't convert diver patch librarys
same with midiqust demo and only the midiquest XL 9 (299list price)
seems to convert libraries.
gotta crawl back behind the racks and reconnect my miditimepiece to my os9
mac and
reload everything cause divr x toasted all my patches somehow.
:( more sounddiver bummer... it won't let me leave it.
It's sad, like apple let us down and my poor old soundiver just can't let
go.

Hi sleeper!
I had unfotunately no luck with MidiquestXL either: frequent crashes,
uncomplet data dumps.
But I admit I didn't give it a try under Tiger - let us know how it works
for you...
At least there is an active yahoo group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/soundquest-users/
All new adaptions can be downloaded under:
ftp://ftp.midiquestxl.com/MidiQuest9

With MidiQuest demo, I can't even get any of the instruments
installed. The web install takes me to the instrument install list,
but it never works.
Best Regards,
Matt

Hi!
The drivers that you have to use are the same as in windows 2000. Unitor 8
works perfectly as MIDI interface, but you can have problems if you want
edit its MIDI Thru presets with SoundDiver.

Hi Matt,
I forgot to write that there are two seperate ftp adresses with the
latest adaptions. Make sure you get the right ones.
For Windows
ftp://ftp.midiquestxl.com/MidiQuest9
For Mac
ftp://ftp.midiquestxl.com/MidiQuest9Mac
By the way there is a dedicated MidiQuest user group
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/soundquest-users/
