On ANY of my synths, my Virus A included, just opening up a patch it
will get saved back to the synth when I close it.. I have to make sure I
dont touch ANYTHING for fear of SD saving it without my instruction and
overwriting something Ive worked hard on..

I recently parchase a second hand Proteus-2000 an a Virtusoso-2000.
Both with sounddiver when reading multis hung-up and I must kill the
sounddiver.
Reading from modules "current multi", the module send to
sounddiver
something but sounddiver ignore it.
On Proteus adaptation I can edit the "user presets" but if try to
edit"componer preset"
the "instrument Rom" show an unselected combo-box and the
"instrument" are
showed as "unknown".
On Virtuoso adaptation I cannot edit "user preset" nor
"Orchestral presets"
The sounddiver is on a PC an the version is the 3.0.5
I can't beleave anybody do so bad....

There is an editor for the 4000; 8000 and Orville series. You could
try it with the H3000.See: http://www.eventide.com/vsigfile/
Hi I'm new to this group, I have a Roland VG 8ex.
Can I use SD to edit it? Some early posts indicate that you can.

Does anyone know what the final version of Sounddiver was for the PC
and where the update might be located for download? I managed to find
3.0.5.2, though I'm not sure if that's the latest. I'm rebuilding my
system after a hard drive crash and have the original media, but none
of the updates.
HIGH,
I'm looking for a prophet 5 adaptation.
Can i find it somewhere?

The links have been removed, but the files are still there (at least for
now):
ftp://ftp2.emagic.de/pub/sounddiver/windows/sd305.zip
ftp://ftp2.emagic.de/pub/sounddiver/windows/sd3052.zip
You need to download and install them in that order on top of the
existing 3.0 installation. You really, really want to use a download
manager that can resume partial downloads - the Emagic server has
always been and still is very flaky for large downloads such as these,
but at least it supports resume correctly.

AFAIK, 3.0.5.2 was the last PC version- it's the last I've seen at least.

Hi everybody,
Yesterday I installed Sound Diver on my Mac and I tried to use it with my
Waldorf Q connected to a Motu Traveler.Sound Diver recgnized the Q but when
I send a bank from the Q to SD,some sound names are displayed with
"????????????????".I tried the loopback test and everything worked

Could anybody tell me which are the settings I have to move?
thanks

Hi,
yesterday I installed Sound diver (Mac Ver.).
I tried to use my Waldorf Q with it ,but when I request the patches from my
Q ,some sound
names are replaced with "?????????????????".
I did the loopback test and it told me that everything works fine.
My midi gear is the Motu Traveler.
Can somebody tell me please how to adjust Timeout(ms),Send Pause(ms) and
Play Delay (ms)
and what does they mean?
Thanks

The Proteus 2500 is not supported; its MIDI implementation differs
significantly from the smaller EMU modules.

Thanks so much for the links for SD update. I wasted an hour in
apples goddamn labyrinth looking for the updates!
hi,
i use SD 3.05. every time i try to open the nordlead2 module, SD crashes.
i've read some old messages regarding this topic, but it didn't helped
me much.
does anybody know: is there a (maybe older?) version of SD which is
able to deal with nordlead2?
does anybody successfully use SD to edit nordlead2(rack version)?
thanks a lot for infos,
best,
ludwig
I don't understand my problem. I'm on a Powerbook G4 1ghz, 1.25ram, 80HD. I
tried to
install the AMT8 midi Drivers, but when I' supposed to select destination,
it shows a Red
Exclamation mark and says "You cannot install this software on this
volume. (null)". I have
65gb of space free. I only have 1 Hard Drive. What am I supposed to do? Is
there
something wrong with my HD? It seems fine to me and I have never had a
problem.

If he's using any recent version of OS X then the AMT8 drivers are
already built-in.
What are permissions? I'm on OS X 10.3.9. I plug in my Yamaha RS7000 and I
see one
input light up, but when I plug in my FS1R, nothing happens. I'm trying to
use a new
software editor for the FS1R right now, and it doesn't seem to find my AMT8.
So you're saying OS X already emagic drivers built into this OS? I also
tried the beta version
of Sounddiver and it couldn't locate my FS1R, even though it was all midied
up correctly I
believe (ins and outs). Then that led me to believe I didn't have the
drivers, since neither
program can find the FS1R.

Are you sure about this? Doesnt seem to be any reason for Emagic/Apple
to recently release an update if this were the case.
On my Powerbook I use at our rehearsal space, the AMT8 definately needed
the drivers installed before OS X could make use of it, and this was a
fresh Tiger install.

Might wanna do a google search and read up on Unix File System
Permissions.. If the RS7000 is working fine, sounds more like a problem
with your FS1R then no?
You may want to run the Audio Midi Setup and test the AMT8s ports there..
Does Sound Diver even see the AMT8 by itself, regardless of devices?
Does the RS7000 show up? If so, its something with your FS1R.

Hmm, the RS7000 input light shows up, but not the midi out light. The FS1R
doesn't show
up at all.
The FS1R editor says their is a Midi Recieve Error.
Where is the Audio Midi setup located? How do I know if Sounddiver sees the
AMT8?
I repaired the Disk Permissions, but it didn't work. Someone told me to
rebuild my volume
using a program like Disk Warrior, but I would have to go pay $80 to get it.

Hi everyone. I need help with some issues i have with Xv-5050.
Before this module i had a Jv 1010 connected with 2 keyboards. The procedure
i used to cahnge pathces was as follows.
I set the first keyboard to ch1
The second Keyboards to channel 2
Swich to Performance mode.
Swith with the knob to patch category user.
Switch to cahnnel 1 (on JV). Choose patch 001
Switch to channel 2 (on JV), Choose patch 002
This always worked, plus i used a Behringer FCb 1010 for the keyboards on
ch 1 to be able to change faster the patches....
Then i bought XV and everything got me so confused.....When turning to
Performance mode i cannot find the patches i need (as in JV were the same by
switchiing instrument category) and i don't know how to control ot from 2
different keyboards.
To be more clear..Suppose i have patch Violin in Userbank patch
001(performance mode) and Piano on 002 i want to play patch 001 from the
first keyboard and 002 from the second.....
Also i need info on how i can copy some sounds i need from the JV to XV.
Please help me out cause i'm getting a headache.
Ps: Please keep it as simple as you can, my knowledge on programming this
module is little
Thank you in advance
