I once had an issue downloading from Emagic.de at a different location.
Using another ISP
solved it. I for one can see and DL the file from here.

I don't think that this is a bug, it's just how it's supposed to work.
Command-W (also available in "window" menu): Close library window,
but
leave library open.
Alt-Command-W (also available in "file" menu): Close library.
Command-1 (also available in "window" menu): open library window.

I tried it again, this time from my work ISP. Doesn't work from here
either. If you can get or have this file, can you share? Thanks!

We're talking Windows AFAIU, right? Does your e-mail server accept large
attachments? Anyone else wants it so that I send it in bulk rather than
sending to everyone separately?

Andy,
Yes, Windows for me. Right now I am at 3.0 straight off the boxed cd.
I would have to go to 3.05 before 3.052. Can you do this?
I can handle up to 1GB attachment. I am on dial-up at home , but
could go to a friend's DSL. All help greatly appreciated.

Okay,
I managed to get one of the files, which is the SoundDiver 3.0.4
update for Windows. I'll be making this available for download shortly.
Otherwise, the following files are still needed in case anyone may
have them:
Sounddiver 3.0.5.2:
sd3052.zip
SoundDiver 3.0.5 (public beta):
sd305.zip
English On-line help files:
helpe305.zip
SoundDiver 3.0 detailed model list:
sd30models.pdf
SoundDiver 2.0 Universal Module Programming Manual:
Programming_Manual.pdf
SoundDiver Public Beta 2 for OS X:
SoundDiver_3.1_Beta2.dmg
temp646 at hawaii.rr.com
Thanks!
Hi,
I think problematical links are at the route of these problems, not the
download size, ISP etc - these issues have been around on and off for
several years (see past posts from Michael H. on the subject). I'd imagine
that the trouble is no one is now fully maintaining the original site, so
it's going to be down to users who've already downloaded and archived the
files to help out...
IMO, I doubt Apple are interested. They probably see the soft synth
'revolution' as the future, yet there are so many great sounds to be had
from older gear like the Kurzweil 2500, Roland D-550 (yes, really!) and
others. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the are any soft synth
versions of these, so I'm always going to want a librarian/editor for these
'dinosaurs'.
Regards,
Will

I've got this one.
SoundDiver 3.1 Public Beta
I would love to get this. Just realized that as a Mac user of this (now
using pc), my cd has the 3.0 pc version. So I would love to upgrade to the
later version.
Thanks,
Gene
Andy,
I appreciate your efforts in trying to email me that huge file.

Does this mean you've not received 3.0.5.2 update I sent you?
Best,
Andy
OK guys, no more requests, please, as I can't send them any longer as
my ISP seems unhappy with all this huge mailings.
Best,
Andy
For those who still need any Emagic updates, just check
ftp://ftp.apple.com/emagic/

This should work, if it doesn't it is time to debug the MIDI system. For
whatever reason SD is really picky about all the MIDI parameters on
Windows and adding a single synth can wreck a seemingly working
installation. I had SD once dying on me because I added a larger MIDI
matrix that SD doesn't even see. Start the builtin MIDI loopback test
and work your way out from the MIDI interface of the computer, through
the MIDI Thru's of all your synths and set up the number and size of
buffers that you won't get any errors.

Okay, thanks to several kind and generous users, I have gotten the
following files:
Updater 3.0.4 - sdupdater.exe - 12mb
Update 3.0.5 - sd305.zip - 15mb
Update 3.0.5.1 - sd3051.zip - 3mb
Update 3.0.5.2 - sd3052.zip - 6mb
English On-line Help Files - helpe305.zip - 5mb
Adaptation Programming Manual 2.0.2 - Programming_Manual.pdf - 2mb
3.0 Model List - SD30models.pdf - 9mb
3.1 Beta2 OS X - SoundDiver_3.1_Beta2.dmg - 31mb
I'm trying to figure out how to make these available to others.
These total about 70mb, and at the moment I only have about 20mb of
space for web serving. I'm considering options, including the
creation of a .torrent, making CDs, and finding web space elsewhere.
Suggestions?
Greetings,
It seems that the files posted on the Emagic site are slowly becoming
unavailable. I have downloaded most of what was available in hopes of
preserving these.
If anyone can help by sending the following files, I would be most
appreciative:
OS 9 Files:
Unitor8 Firmware Update 1.3.1 (16 K, StuffIt Archive)
u8upd131.sit
Unitor Family OMS Driver (16 K, StuffIt archive)
Version 1.2: Native OMS Driver for Unitor8 MkII, Unitor8, AMT8 and MT4.
u8omsdrv.sit
USB Unitor Family Driver (36 K, BinHex file)
Driver for Unitor8 MkII, AMT8 and MT4. Version 1.2
USBUnitorFamilyDriver.hqx
Windows Files:
Unitor8 Firmware Update 1.3.1 (8 K, ZIP archive)
u8upd131.zip
---
Of particular concern is the USB driver for OS 9
Thus far, everything that I have collected for OS9, OSX, and Windows
should just fit on a single CD.
Thanks!

Anyone that wants any of these files that are small enough to send,
let me know and I'll e-mail them to you.
If there is a single file less than 20mb that you need, I can post it
to a web site for download.
Let me know!
Updater 3.0.4 - sdupdater.exe - 12mb
Update 3.0.5 - sd305.zip - 15mb
Update 3.0.5.1 - sd3051.zip - 3mb
Update 3.0.5.2 - sd3052.zip - 6mb
English On-line Help Files - helpe305.zip - 5mb
Adaptation Programming Manual 2.0.2 - Programming_Manual.pdf - 2mb
3.0 Model List - SD30models.pdf - 9mb

I have the unstuffed file "Unitor8 Update 1.3.1.mid" if that's any
help. If
you'd like it, I could email it to you. I may have some of the other Mac
files in my tape data backups - I'll have a look as soon as I get a chance.

Hi Achim
I will try the loopback test, I have retied the Q over the weekend and still
no up-date of the sounds in the Q, what strikes me as really odd is the fact
that when I originally installed the Q into my system and SD, I then
requested the Factory soundset from the Q and all worked fine, since then
however I have up-loaded some Q sounds from a 3rd party on the Waldorf users
site and this is when they will not up-date the sounds list within SD, I am
wondering if there may be some Global differences between the Factory setup
and the 3rd party setup, thanx for your help.
Kind regards
paul

Has anyone developed an adaptation for the Nord Electro?
On Montag, 28. Februar 2005 13:37, paul russell wrote:

Check the DeviceID on the synth vs. the one in the Parameter window of
SD. If you install the adaptation via Auto-Install, it should recognize
that automatically, so you could also try to remove and re-install. If
it is a MIDI problem, the re-install won't work of course, then just
don't save the preferences on exit...
