Thanks Michael for your answer. The problem is already solved. Thanks to "ASSI" for constructing a ".hqx" file, so that the adaptation can be easily imported on a Mac. I haven't tried that but generally the problem with VPC is that the "PC" takes over your audio and emulates a PC. Thus you couldn't run Mac audio simultaneously. --- In sounddiver-users@yahoogroups.com, "patman90405" < patrick_bagacina@t...> wrote: > Newbie here - is it possible to to run Sounddiver 3.0 (PC) on a Mac > G4 running 0SX using Virtual PC? You can do a SCSI copy as long as your folder isn't larger than the amount of data that a CD-R can handle. Toast allows you to see the E4's hard drive as a volume in the SCSI chain. Of course, you must have the SCSI network connected properly. I've never tried it on a PC so I don't know if it's possible. You might try the Emu groups on Yahoo since I don't think you can do what you want to do with Sounddiver. Hope this helps, John Mazzei

Message #15890
Hi all, I am hoping that someone will be able to shed some light on a problem that I have had for a fews weeks now, it revolves around SoundDiver for OSX, an Emagic EMI 6|2m, Roland XV5050 and my Roland PC300 controller keyboard. My problem is that SoundDover tells me that there is a problem with my cabling, it seems to be sending data to the XV but not getting any back. My PC300 is connect to the EMI 6|2m via USB and the XV5050 is connect via both in and out midi with the EMI 6|2m. Now that to me make good sense and a loop. Now does the OS X Audio/Midi setup Application actually control anything here? I have it connect as thus PC300 > XV5050 (port 1) > EMI > XV5050 (port 2in) > XV5050 (port 2 out) > EMI. Really need some help on this one please! Cheers Steve

Hi Simon, I'm currently using SD 3.0.5 on a PC to drive an expanded TD-10. That is pretty useful to store and recall drum kits and percussion groups as well as specific setups. The hardware setup involve a Pentium PC connected via USB to a Midiman midisport 2x2 from M-Audio and two midi cables. Putting everything to work was very straightforward. My only frustration right now is that I did not manage to use SD to bulk transfer patterns. I tried writing a adaptation for doing that but failed to implement it correctly. Would be very interested if anyone had done that previously. Subject: Triton help
Message #15894
Hi All, I'm organizing Korg Triton patches into SD libraries, and when I drag a patch into a library, the arpeggio that goes with it goes into the library as well. Then the next time I add a patch to it that uses the same arpeggio pattern, I get the "doubles found" dialog, which asks me if I want to delete the doubles. My question is, should I delete the doubles, or not? All the libraries are getting to be half full of arpeggio patterns. Does that matter? -Mark Bradford Denver, CO USA http://www.mark-bradford.com/

Subject: OSX: Kawai K1/K1r Adaptation problems
Message #15897
Hi, I have the following config: OSX on Mac g4 Kawai K1r Sounddiver OSX Beta Emagic AMT-8 I have ditched my MOTU MTP-II for an AMT-8 with USB. Now almost all my MIDI gear works successfully with Sounddiver. I am so happy! Well, except for my Kawai K1r (K1 Rackmount). If I load up the K1r adaptation and try to get the data into SD, there will be all indications that data is being sent and that activity is obvious. Even the MIDI monitor shows patch dumps taking place. But in the patch bank in SD, no patch data ever appears. BUT - if I add the plain old K1 (keyboard) adaptation, an interesting thing happens. A bulk dump request from SD will get some patches, with the rest having corrupted patch names. But, if I get a single patch or one bank at a time, all the data for each bank is dumped correctly, with no problems whatsoever! Can someone please help me identify what is going on? The 2 devices are extemely similar with minor changes in place c/w the keyboard and rack versions of the synth. Apparently the K1 is a "reference" device for SD programming so I am surprised such a simple instrument doesn't work in one adaptation but sort of works in another. Please, if there are any other K1/K1R/K1m owners please test for me! For now, I can work around by using the K1 adaptation, but would prefer to use the K1R adaptation supplied, as I do not know if there will be loss of data or whatever. Sometimes what isn't said, can be more informative than what is. Given that MIDI librarian functionality is such a useful feature, I highly doubt that Apple would let it languish in limbo.
