Among all the problems I have with SD, I can't install the update.
when I click on the exe file, it says : "the is no Sound Diver
program to update" !
What is the new secret to make this "thing" work?
Hello,
is there a reason why this is not supported ?
Again a werido MIDI sysex handshaking protocol or .. ?
This lovely module definitely NEEDS an editor !!
tnx in advance

I know I've asked this question before but I forgot the answer.
How do you assign a midi controller to a parameter in SoundDiver? Example, I
want to assign a fader or a knob to one of the controls in SD.
Thanks,
Kris

Not enough interest yet.

First we had no documentation. Then there was a bug in the SysEx
implementation which hasn't been fixed for a long time. And now it's
not a hot machine anymore...

1. Click the parameter
2. Choose menu item "Learn new assignment"
3. Turn the knob you want to assign
4. In the Assignment window which opened, disable the Learn button
which has been enabled
For power users:
1. Click the parameter
2. Press Cmd-L and hold down the Cmd key (Windows: Ctrl instead of Cmd)
3. Turn the knob you want to assign
4. Release the Cmd key

What installer file are you referring to?
And which SD version do you have installed?

"What installer file are you referring to?" :
Sounddiver_zenedit_updater.exe
"which SD version do you have installed?" : Soun diver 3.0, the
one
on the zentera update cd.

I would love a PC2 editor. This is a great controller keyboard.

We had some problem with OEM version updaters not recognizing installed
programs. Is the installer the latest one from our web site?

Hi, all:
I've been off this list for a while (and on the "my baby's diaper
looks like it has Marmite in it" list instead); I looked through the
archives and can't find a definitive answer to this one; have we
heard for sure whether we'll see SD or something like it in OSX
yet? Michael? I cannot live without my Sound Diver (and I for one
would be happy to pay a hundred bucks for the port over...). After
11 years of using SoundDiver/Polyframe I have too much library
of good shit in my boxes to just abandon it and move to soft
synths entirely...
George Whitty
Dear Mr. Whitty,
I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds - but, I feel
compelled to ask:
Are you the George Whitty that performed/recorded with Michael Brecker a
few years back?
Sincerely,
Karsten J. Chikuri

Hi,
I've ended up here looking for help. I've recently bought a novation
super nova. It was suggested that I use sound diver to be able to
edit sounds and arrange my patch locations. My problem is that the
only copy that I have is an old V2.? is there anywhere to get
upgrades or free demo's of the newer versions.
I have a couple of synths and from what I've seen the program is
ideal.
Equip:
cs1x,(KORG ms2000.er-1,es-1),supernova.
I've managed to recognise the cs1x and supernova but my version
doesn't have an editor for the SN.
Stupid me I know but just not getting anywhere with the help.
Cheers

That's terrific. I still enjoy watching the Brecker Bros Video Live in

hi,
is there a known problem with the NL 3?
certain banks and patches and the multis
can not be requested from my SD app here.
please look at the picture
http://www.adminX.de/roman/public/sounddiverNL3problem.jpg
that is sounddiver version 3.0.5.2 (macintosh)
with the latest nordlead 3 ada update .. but still.
boo :(
I am using SD3.04 and Midi-Ox 6.5 in a Win2kSP4 environment with a P4-
2.4 and 1000 megs ram. When trying to upload or download data
between SD and a Yamaha SY55, I get a very extended delay. Sometimes
is locks up Midi-Ox. I have tried adjusting the buffers in Midi-Ox
with no luck. When I set the I/O ports in SD to the soundcard midi
I/O, the problem disappears. Any ideas on what settings should be
tweaked either in SD or Midi-Ox would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Mike (re: Mac/SoundDiver)
I'm Dave Turner, you had helped me with email tech support over the last
week or two, thanks. I just thought the conclusion I came up with may be
useful for others with the same situation:
In order to get SoundDiver to function with Digital Performer, after much
trial & error, I learned that although OMS isn't required, SoundDiver
likes
it & runs more stable no more "retry"s). I used my MIDIExpress
with a serial
out to each port, then configured SoundDiver on one & Digital Performer
on
the other. It works, but I can't change sounds while DP is playing, it stops
as soon as you use SoundDiver, but that's no biggie.
I'm toying around with the idea of using my other Mac exclusively for
SoundDiver so I can hear the sounds within the context of the sequence as I
audition them, but as it is now I'm holding off. I'm using three monitors
which I highly reccommend.
Thanks for getting me going Mike,
Best regards,
Dave
Hi - I am using SD3.04 and thinking of getting a Lexicon PCM-80 with the
Dual-FX and Pitch-FX Alghorithm cards. Can any tell me the extent to which
Sounddiver supports these models?
Much appreciated

* Update to SoundDiver 3.0.5
* Set the input buffer size in SD's Communication prefs to 1 KB

Hi,
I found a version of sounddiver 3.0 and am wondering if buy it, would
upgrading it to the latest version be an ok thing to do instead of just
finding and buying the latest version if possible?
Did that make sense?

The Version 3 CD still contains version 3.0.0. Current version is
3.0.5.2, which is free for 3.0 users. So it's ok to buy it.
