I use a Virtuoso 1000. The Proteus1000 with more orchestral oriented patches. I get some errors about "indexing not found" near the end of data downloading, but it appears to be cosmetic. This is probably and old issue, but I'm new to the group. Does XP behave well with Sounddiver or does everyone have some issues with it. And if we are stuck using XP, does anyone have suggestions on a midi interface. (AMT, Midiman, MOTU, etc,.) Thanks, David Hoskins

Virtuoso 1000? Really? Does such a thing exist at all? I was under the impression that only the Virtuoso 2000 exists (which actually is a Proteus 2000 with the two orchestral boards). Your problem is probably occuring when trying to access the Riff names or the ROM Arpeggio names. I'm working on a fix here. In their infinite wisdom Emu did not make the number of audition riffs for the ROMs available via SysEx; and apparently the newer OS versions do react in a different way when requesting non-existing riff names. And before you ask: The numbers given in the documentation for each ROM were so far all wrong... -- Malte Rogacki gacki@... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Don't forget to TURN ON THE SYNTHESIZER. you're right. it's a 2000 (I really shouldn't rely on my memory so much for these posts). The error is definitely during the complete data download. It's fine during a single patch, parameter, or performance update, riff names and arpeggio names. It's very stable and I can't really complain since that one error is largely cosmetic (as far as I can tell). DJS --- Malte Rogacki <gacki@...> wrote: > >I use a Virtuoso 1000. I had trouble getting the Virtuoso 2000 to auto-detect but doubling the value of the Send delay parameter seemed to help. Also, there were some serial port optimizations that helped with the timeouts. It's been 100% reliable for over a month now. I'm not at that computer right now, but if you need help, I can walk you through what I did. The problems could be different with your computer since it is hardware dependent. It should auto-detect and use the Proteus 2000 driver. Subject: Matrix6 adaptation
Message #14196
Hi list, this is my first post. I'm using SD 3.0.4 with a Matrix6R and I'm wondering is the oscillators section in the adaptation correct or not ? For both oscillators the lowest value is C1 in the adaptation but if I initialize a patch, disconnect all modulations, select the same waveforms for both and I listen to the osc's separately, the sound of DCO2 (osc 2) is much more lower than DCO1, both at the same C1 setting. Is my Matrix faulty or the adaptation is wrong ? Regards: Darth

Subject: virtouso multisetup not functioning
Message #14197
This is a reply to #14189.
I click on a user-multisetup to request multisetup info from the module. MIDI messages happen because midi LEDs blink, but the information is not populated on the screen(all is blank.) The rest of the Virtouos adaption works flawless on other data and sections of the editor, but multisetup doesn't happen. Anyone else have trouble getting multisetup info from Virtouso 2k? Just curious and would like to use it. I'm on windows using 3.0.4. thx! ajmolica --- In sounddiver-users@yahoogroups.com, David Smith <djsmith_1998@y...> wrote: > > > > > > > > --- Malte Rogacki <gacki@g...> wrote: > > >Does anyone have a sounddiver adaption for the > > virtuoso 2k? > > > > > > > The Virtuoso 2000 is supported by the Proteus 2000 > > module; I believe > > this has been the case for quite some time now. > > > > -- > > Malte Rogacki gacki@g... > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- --------- > > "Don't forget to TURN ON THE SYNTHESIZER. I picked up the motif rack and it's a great synth. Michael, please put Motif in the next release, please!! I'll pay you something for it. I really need it. Yamaha's windows editor is awful.

Subject: OT: Need help from a Korg Trinity/PC App 'Trinitro' user
Message #14200
I'm on a mac and cannot run trinitro. I simply want to organise all the programs which are scattered to be in instrument category eg pianos, basses, drum kits etc. I have soundiver which should be able to send a PCG created on trinitro to the tr-rack. So I am asking if anyone has a PCG for the TR-Rack with the instruments organised by category or could you edit one for me? Hopefully it's easy enough to inspire someone to do it. I would also need to get the new program names order entered into the environments multi instrument so that I can still select TR-Rack patches by name. Peace.
