Have you found out more since you posted the above?
Do you have have the chance to check?

Is there an editor for the Boss GT-6 yet?
Will it work with SoundDiver version 2.06?
How do I get it?
Hi!
A problem with SD.
I haven't had this on Win98, now that I have XP the following problem
occurs.
When I start Sounddiver (with or without any sequencer in RAM) SD takes a
very long time to start. It is displayed that it requests MIDI data from
somewhere but my amt8 doesn't show any transfer. I can press ESC but that
doesn't accellerate the whole thing.
Furthermore, when SD finally shows my setup (only an SY85 and an
UltraProteus) it takes another long time (about 45 seconds) when I
doubleclick the Proteus and want to open the Memory Manager. SD obviously
tries to request the Preset list (just the list, not the presets
themselves). At least that's what it did under Win98. But now it takes
another long time. However, there is MIDI transfer of some kind during that,
but only seldom. The majority is many seconds of doing nothing.
All the hardware involved works fine with a sequencer, no timing problems
etc. That's why I assume it must be a problem with SD.
Can anyone help?

Regarding problems editing adaptions in the Atari ST version.....
I'm currently using version 2.06 (which won't let me fully edit adaptions
because of a bug -text input in the Sysex part sometimes gives me a
"out of
memory" error while I can edit the rest of the adaption just fine).
But I managed to install an older version on the same computer, namely
Sounddiver 1.57. This version fortunately allows me to edit the Sysex stuff
and doesn't give me that error message, but I can't figure out how to edit
the actual graphical layout stuff (buttons, switches etc.).
I can't find any menu for this, while in 2.06 I have it alongside the
"edit" menu under "Adaption". Can someone tell me how?

AFAIR you have to hold down ALT.

Hello there!
I am relatively new to sounddiver and have been trying to get
to grips with it in conjuction with the Access Virus. Does anybody
know if there are any books available or manuals explaining some in
depth parts of the programme. My version of Sounddiver came with no
manual, perhaps someone knows of a website with good tips and
instuctions?? thanx in advance
Hi, anyone who knows:
I've been unable to authorize SoundDiver from the internal CD drive on my
mirrored-door dual 867 G4, my SCSI CD burner OR my Pioneer DVD-R drive,
using any variety of extensions (there's the Apple CD/DVD driver, Toast's
drivers, a Charismac driver, etc...). Furthermore, while WaveBurner will
work with the Charismac driver, it won't work if the Toast drivers are also
enabled, Toast won't work with the Charismac driver, blah, blah, blah. I've
only been able to authorize things by booting my tower as a target disc to
my Powerbook G4, setting the tower's internal drive as the boot drive and
authorizing from the Powerbook's CD drive. Can anyone advise me of a means
to authorize SD from ANY of the drives I own, or does anyone have some
configuration on these machines that lets everyone play together? Is there
not enough strife in this world without conflict in my Macintosh?
Thanks,
George Whitty
I'm new to this message board so forgive me if I'm asking a question
that has been answered before, but I need to know why Sounddiver
3.0.5 is not seeing my Triton Studio. Is it supported? Other
keyboards are detected. If I manually add it, set it to the right
port, open it up and request a patch nothing comes accross. Strictly
from a MIDI standpoint Logic is communicating with it.

Studio 4 through serial port on Griffin G4Port
Thanks.

Does someone know if and when Sounddiver will support a bank librarian for
the Minimoog Voyager ? (don't need a patch editor really...)
Thanks

I upgraded to Logic 6 this past weekend. Normally I use Logic
and SD together. I lauch Logic first and then SD. Once both
programs are lauched I go to the set up wiindow in SD and
choose Load and transmit file--in order to load my synth patches
and settings for the song that I am working on. When I choose
this option and I select the file to be opened and transmitted I get
a message from SD asking me if I want to transmit the entries. I
choose yes and for the next minute or so various devices in my
system indicate that they are receiving sys ex information.
However, the information only goes into the memory manager
buffers not to the synths. I have to go into the memory manager
for each device and select either the single patch entry or the
bank entry and manually transmit them to the device in order for
the sounds to be loaded properly. Has any one else had this
problem?
THE GEAR & MY SETTINGS:
G4 450, OS 9.2.2, 512 megs ram, Logic Audio Platinum 6.0,
Sound Diver, 3.04, UAD-1 card, Motu PCI-324 card, Waves Gold
Bundle Native, Absynth, Virtual Guitarist, Unitor 8 II, AMT8. I am
using the Motu PCI-324 console v. 2.4 which when installed
placed asio driver version 2.1 in my Logic ASIO drivers folder,
and placed PCI-324 Sound Manager Driver v. 1.2. in my
extensions folder, and placed the PCI driver v. 1.5 in my
extension folder as well.
thanks

I've been using Sound Diver with a number of synths with good
results until yesterday.I picked up an Ensoniq VFX-SD.The VFX
scanned fine, and I can receive the memory or send what's in the
device window fine. When I try to build a library, though,Sound Diver
immediately crashes.I have Sound Diver set up with the 1 Kb
buffers,and I've tried it in 98 Compatability mode-no luck.All I
know is that it's a nt.dll problem.Any advice?
Thanks,
ew
Hi,
Anyone know if an adaptation is available or planned for this unit?
Thanks

I am having the exact same problem with my E-Mu Planet Earth module.
Also it won't make a sound from sound diver. Not by any method.

Interesting... Could this be the future regarding editors? No more
standalone applications for editing, but a VST (or whatever) plugin
in the host environment like Logic, Cubase etc.
I ask this, because since there are no major updates for SD in a long
time, maybe Emagic is following the same path in there development
labs?
Fellow users, what's your opinion about this?
Greetings, Bert.

Hi George,
try zapping your P-RAM, works wonders sometimes.
Toast / WB extension conflicts are well known and
documented, so there doesn't seem to be a means
of using both apps without reboot. Also Apple's
own Authoring Support extension used to conflict
with WB - don't know if that's still the case.
If your probs are the result of an extension conflict,
try basic extension set ("preset" from the menu inside
ext. manager) to see if authorization is poss.
this way. Other than that: try & error, or a clean
install. It's spring cleaning time :-)
All else is just guessing, as I don''t know nothing
of your hardware, OS ect etc.
Hope that helps

I just purchased Emagic sound diver. When I dump the program banks into
sound diver it seems to be transmitting and sound diver receives but the
patch names do not show up in the device screen.
I logged onto a sound diver users web site and this seems to be an on going
problem. Is there a current solution to this issue?
Your advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Hi
I'm using SD3.05 with a Korg Z1.I am having trouble dumping new sound
banks into SD as a standard midi file. Is there a new adaption for
the Z1 that fixes this?
Simon
Hi,
Some synths has important parameters that can be controlled only by realtime
editing but not stored in memory. TX81Z's 'Operator mute' setting is
an example of such 'realtime-only' parameters.
It's difficult to control such parameters with SD's universal adaptation,
as any controllers should have its own 'memory offset.'
So I increased the data size and used the newly added bytes as the virtual
memory offset for 'realtime-only' parameters.
The problem occurs when receiving the data. I hoped that SD sees the
incoming data coincides with the fractional dump string, but SD just
ignored the data.
How can I make SD receive the data which are less than the defined data
size?
Thanks very much in advance.
Best,
Sealed
Hi.
I just received my JV-1010 and Soundiver last week on closeout Demo
from a local music store,
However the instruction manuals were NOT included. I cant complain
because I only paid $225 for the boxed unit in perfect shape.
However I don't have a credit card to order the manuals.
I know there is not a PDF file for soundiver….Or JV-1010.
Has any one just scanned the instructions? email them to me? I'm
getting totally lost with this unit because I'm making the problem
even more complex by using Axon-Ax 100 converter to midi guitar.
Would it be rude to ask for a JV-1010 Midi Sysex dump? That way I
could see what's going on. Or perhaps a Soundiver file on the JV-
1010?
Any advice is grateful while I await shipping of my JV-1010 and
soundiver manuals.
Scan any one?
hey!! you should complain bigtime!! thats what i payed
for..the manual i mean.
the app itself can be downloaded for free on every
shitty hotlineserver on the net!! but cant be used
without the manual..no i dont think theres a pdf
manual for soundiver.(thats emegics safe!! NO PDF
MANAUALS FOR SOFTWARE!!
looka at the box there is your SN#.
contact emagic and tell them your case and you should
get your manuaL.
you have to get a manual for a app like this.

I think you're missing the point. The JV-1010 was sold with an OEM
version of SoundDiver. However, OEM versions always came without a
manual; one could order a printed manual from Emagic, though.
My advice for the original poster would be to find someone with a
credit card and have him order the manual.
