Hi Jimmy, > Does anyone know if there are any plans to support the Sid > Station? I've started working on one last week. I haven't had the time this week to continue yet, but I'll do so in a couple of days. Note: it might take some time, because I'm quite busy and also because the SidStation needs some additional SysEx support which is not in it yet. I'll first start with a simple patch manager which is the most important thing right now. I'll then add an editor later this summer. I'm NOT looking forward to programming an editor for the tables though, 'cause I'm not sure whether I'll succeed in that. I have basic patch management working now, but there's still a problem with empty patches for which I'm now trying to find a workaround. As soon as it works, I'll make it public. I'm working on an Adaption för my Roland A-70. I'm creating it with Sounddiver 3.04 on my Apple Mac G4. I'd like to know, if Windows-Users also can use this adaption. The adaption is not finished yet, but almost ;-) Greetings Rainer Harz

That sounds good to me Joeri :-) I once also tried to build an adaptation for the Sidstation with SD 2.x, but there was an unhandable thing about thier manufacturer ID (wrong order of Bytes). Did they change the Byte order or can SD handle this now? Good luck! Ray ----------------------------------------------------------------- Raymund Beyer | ray@... This is a known issue which I have tried to solve for several days last week without luck. There are some drives, especially CD burners, which try to read unreadable sectors on a CD infinitely, instead of returning an error code after a while. There is nothing we can do about. As a workaround, simply switch off the drive or disconnect it from the computer (ONLY if it is FireWire or USB, not if it's SCSI because this can damage your host adapter) when you think nothing happens during authorization. After a while the Mac will complain that the drive does not answer. Then reconnect or power on the drive, and SoundDiver will think the copy protection is ok. -- Beste Gruesse - best regards, Michael Haydn EMAGIC Soft- und Hardware GmbH SoundDiver Group Executive Logic Audio Developer Unitor8 Control Project Manager

Subject: LAWP & K2000; volume problem
Message #8416
Greetings; I picked up a Kurzweil K2000 recently and -- before I get to my problem -- I have to say that the combo of Logic/SoundDiver/K2K is really fabulous...finally, the Autolink feature works the way I always hoped it might, w/ individual banks being recognized in a K2K multi-instrument environment. Multitibral set-ups are a total breeze w/ Logic, and the well-designed SoundDiver K2K adaptation made it easy to understand and start using the synth's powerful programming features right from the start. One area that baffles me, however, is why the amplitude and output volume settings get changed so drastically for all the patches I use in LAWP tracks. W/ other synths, if I increase the volume of a patch in Logic, next time I play that patch it will be back at it's original volume. Not so w/ the K2K it seems, however...the highest volume setting used in Logic seems to become the patch's default volume setting. So I'm constantly going through program banks in SD, and turning down volume settings in each individual output block. Needless to say, this task is time-consuming and irritating, but I'm afraid if I don't do it I'll end up blowing out my woofers -- or my eardrums -- some day w/ one of the more volatile K2K patches. Is there an easier way of maintaining lower default volume rates? Regards Glenn

I had replaced the internal CDROM with a Yamaha CDR drive. I found that certian software (VST,Unity DS1..) would not install from that drive. I had to open the computer, hook the old CDROM back up and things installed and authorised fine. Good luck, Jimmy.

Message #8425
Hi, I'm new to SoundDiver, installing the program yesterday and doing some preliminary toying to see its capabilities. I was sorely disapointed to find a lack of support, via either the module or an adaptation for Alesis (QS-series) Q-Cards and RAM cards. If anyone has a work-around or an adaptation available, I would appreciate your views, knowledge, and discussion. Thank you, Rob Leng
