Subject: 3.0 PROBLEMS
Message #6080
I just recieved my 3.0 and need some help with some problems I have encountered. My setup: P3 800/256ram 9gig and and 18gig internal hd/win 98se/ Soundblasterlive (disabled because I have a Delta1010 installed) Midiman Usb midisport 4x4 Port A XL-1 in and out Port B P2k in and out Port C Akai s5000 in and out Port D Alesis Qs6 in and out Midiverb4 in and out thru delta 1010 midi ports When I installed Sd it loaded the XL-1 as a Proteus module. It didn't do anything with port C which has the Akai sampler and the Qs6 wasn't installed at all. It gave an error that the Qs6 wasn't responding but did ask me to choose which module it was. (choices were nanosynth/nanobass and there was 1 more choice. I did manage to install the qs6 manuelly. Midiverb seems ok. The P2k seems to be installed ok including the TsCY rom. I'm using ver 1.11. The Xl-1 w/ver 1.21 won't install corectly. It keeps telling me that the Audity won't respond. I know that there are beta modules in ver 3.01 being test I went to Emagics site but there is no 3.01 for windows. Michael, what can be done about this? Also in the setup window, I noticed there is my midipatchbay listed, but there also is the virtual piano listed too. Does this matter? I tried to change the name from Proteus2000 to Extreme lead but the module icon disappears from the setup window. Am I doing something wrong? I tried to edit patches on the P2k. I then proceeded to test midiloop back features and I got a message telling me that my interface wasn't reliable. Why? Thank in advance for anyhelp? Orlando.
