Hi Lorenzo,

This might be true for you (and me ;-) but obviously there are a lot of
people who really use AutoLink every day and for whom it works fine.
Concerning the upgrade fee: Version 3.0 contains a lot of new stuff, great
graphics and some functions that make it much easier to use. I´ve seen
it
in Frankfurt and really like it. From my point of view around DEM 79,00
(which equals about $39) is not too much for such a great update. There have
been lots of improvements throughout previous version and I really
don´t
care paying this less money so Emagic can continue creating great products
like SoundDiver and Logic.
And by the way: Logic 4.5 _IS_ for instance a free update which improves
sooo many things that Emagic should charge for it. So from my point of view,
the update policy is fair and keeps development running.

You are right and it´s of course sad that the manuals are not quite up
to
date. However, as far as I can see, development has rapidly changed things
so much that it´s actually hard to keep manuals (printed ones!) up to
date. Personally I prefer to get all the new software stuff first (as soon
as possible) - rather than having to wait until a new manual is written,
printed and available.

The manual for Logic 4.0 is out since a loooong time now. It can be ordered
from Emagic or from your local dealer. It´s surely not Emagics fault
if
you don´t have it yet.

True :-) I love reading manuals, too (definitively the printed ones and
_not_
PDF guidebooks!)
All the best
Thomas
