This is a reply to #17900.
Thanks for the reply's Achim and Chris! I used the link to the Waldorf site that you provided Chris and I downloaded OS 2.33 for the XT and I loaded it successfully on the first try using Sysex Librarian. That did not fix/resolve the issue. But at least I know that I am starting from a clean slate. I have MIDI IN and OUT connections on the XT hooked up properly to my MIDI HUB (MOTU MTP AV USB). But I have not taken any further steps besides setting the MIDI CHANNEL and DEVICE ID. Is there another step that I need to take so that hte XT sends parameter changes as SYSEX? If so what specific step do I need to take? > You can use the MIDI monitor window in SD to see if the XT sends > something when you twiddle some knobs. Yes I have opened the MIDI monitor window and when i twiddle a knob there are entries in the MIDI monitor log. I started to use the LEARN CONTROLLER ASSIGNMENT command and manage to map some parameters so that parameter adjustments made using the knobs of the XT could be updated in SD in real time. But then SD crashed and I lost the assignments I had created. Is there any way to save CONTROLLER ASSIGNMENTS in SD? If so what is it? I am running the second public beta of SD ona Mac g5 running OS 10.4.11. Thanks again, any more tips would be greatly appreciated. Best, AQ
