There is also no problem with the microQ and Q in the other direction because despite the specification they actually ignore the checksum, so indeed it doesn't matter if it is even present or not. How's that for several bugs colluding to arrive at the desired result. I don't know about the Pulse, but the rackAttack and the Blofeld need correct checksums or they'll just shrug off whatever sysex they've received, so you will have to edit those adaptations.
