Sound Diver never came with a key of any sort as it is. Not even a
serial number.
Well Unisyn sucks as far as support goes.. I dont think it handles a
single one of my synths.
MidiQuest isnt bad but its no Sound Diver and rather confusing to setup
at first..
The beta is ok. Autolink is gone but you use Cubase anyways so that wont
matter.. I dont think youll find a list of bugs anywhere for it so its
all just reports from people here on the list who have gotten rather
frustrated with Apple over it the last few years..
One BIG thing to look out for, no matter what you do, if you select and
open a patch on ANY synth you have connected, even if you dont touch it,
SD will write it back to memory on the synth when you close the window.
So make sure once you start tweaking a sound, you REALLY REALLY wanted
to change it otherwise get in the habit of making constant backups to
the Library.. With my synths thats the only snag whatsoever Ive run into
but Im sure with the tons of different adaptations out there youre bound
to run into something else along the way.. FWIW I use a Waldorf
Microwave XT, Micro Q, Korg ER1, Alesis SR16, and an Access Virus A with
it and those seem to work fine except for the previously mentioned
writing bug..
