Subject: Soundiver Mac 3.1b2
Message #17851
Howdy there everyone Found the LUG site while doing the usual trawl/search to find solutions and answers. I have a Mac G4 1.25 dual MDD OSX 10.2.8/Cubase SL2, connected to a Midex8 and quite an extensive midi set up. The original intention was to use Soundiver as the librarian and by chance I picked up a free copy of version 3.0 from a friend. Unfortunately it was an NFR copy (not for resale) i.e. an official Emagic promotional demo with no key and therefore end of story, no upgrade facility, but also no OSX porting at the time. As time goes on I am finding the requirement for librarian software is becomming more acute. I have looked at the current version of Midi Quest but the required OS is 10.4. I do not want to move up to the next OS because I have stability and it will mean 'buggering about' again and not writing tunes. Motu Unisyn is light on coverage for a lot of my synths unfortunately. The question is this, is it worth getting hold of an XS key and installing the 3.1b2 version? How unstable is it? If any one would like to share their views/ideas/advice I would welcome it. Regards Ludite (army646@yahoo.com)
