Hi,
My HR-MP5 has the battery problem, too. The RAM contents are garbled and it
crashes the system. And I hear it needs soldering to change batteries.
When this happens, I do the following.
1) Detach the AC adapter plug from HR-MP5.
2) Push the power button (without AC adapter). It discharges the residual
electricity. Do this again if needed.
Then my MP5 starts working again (at least mine does). Be careful not to
select RAM patch before you write something onto it. The garbled patch data
crashes MP5 again.
Best,
Sealed
