Thanks for your help! :-) actually, I'm not familiar with SoundDiver, but this behaviour is due to a flaw in the Matrix 1000 firmware. When requesting a patch, it really tells those silly patch names. Rumour hast it that there was not enough ROM space to include the names, so they are synthesized. Apparently, SoundDiver assumes that a name reported from the specific device won't be any worse than what it already has in the bank list. Well, in this case it IS worse. Sorry, don't know if it can be corrected within SoundDiver. Christian
