Subject: Studio Quad 4 adaptation
Message #17619
I am writing an adaptation for the Digitech Quad 4 and have come accross an annoying problem. The dumped program data from factory and user effects programs seems to have different length 'headers' that contain the effect name, depending on the program selected. The consequence of this is that the effect names are not displayed correctly in the memory manager. Each name seems to be flanked by a '?' character, so is there a way of displaying the names correctly based on this? Is there a way of only displaying the characters between the '?'s? Is there a way of correctly calculating the variable offset to the effect name? (I think this is based on the combination of fx processors used for the effect, this info is in the header too im sure). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
