This is a reply to #17594.
>i finally managed to install a full 305 Sdiver on the ibook os 9.2.1 >(i had the 3.0 CD !) > >now next problem : aren't the LIB files platform compatible ? >i can not read any of my PC lib files in the MAC ! >even if i try to stuff-them before moving >they always keep on the MAC a PC "personality" Try this if you also have OSX on the iBook: First make a safety copy of these lib files. Now, select one of them and Get Info on the file - select the file, then go up to the menu bar, to <File> menu and choose <Get Info> Halfway down the info window, you'll see <Open with: > which has a little triangle at the left. If necessary, click the triangle to expand this section. There's a pop-up menu just below which probably says <other> - click and hold on this. You should get a selection of apps including SoundDiver - which you must choose. The icon of the file should now change to the SoundDiver icon. You should now be able to open the lib in SD. If this works, then change all your files to this filetype. You can do it quickly by clicking on the <Change All> button in the Get info window. If you only have OS9, there is a small app called filetyper which you can use to perform this same function. Here: http://dazuma.freeshell.org/filetyper/download.html >i am 10 sec away from launching the ibook on Mars .. lol :-)) >i could never ever understand this mac fascination ! I've always used Macs and could never see any attraction for PC's! ;-) I think it's simply a case of liking what we are used to. (**NO** intention of starting a platform war....) Hope this helps Colin
