Subject: [SoundDiver] AMT Diver and 2 computers
Message #17381
Hi all, I have a question - First, I'll tell you a bit about the scenario. A Mac, a PC, a Diver CD (starting to sound like a xmas carol already)..... Anyway, I remember reading somewhere that you could connect a Mac to the USB port _and_ a PC to the serial port and use both together... However, I believe that this represented 2 sets of ports? My question is, in a nutshell.... Can I connect this all together and use SD on the PC (ie the latest windows version, authorized with the old CD) and edit those midi devices that are connected to the AMT8, so that I can use them in the Mac setup running LogicPro? There may be some sort of other option using MidiOverLan (which I currently utilize for running Kontakt2 on the PC from within LogicPro on the Mac)... Has anyone ever done this? Diver just isn't an option in the current scenario, under the latest beta for OSX. Maybe using MidiPipe in conjunction with the MidiOverLan could be the solution....? Any advice on experiences would be greatly appreciated!
