Subject: [SoundDiver] Programming drum notes
Message #17344
This is a reply to #17337.
I really need some help. I'd like to use SoundDiver to get individual drum names copied over from my Roland JV1080 to Logic. But, at this point, I'm scared to even launch SD, because I'm afraid SD will reset the JV1080/Logic settings that have taken me so long to program. SoundDiver question: Is there a SD preference that will prevent it from sending changes? Logic question: I want to be able to display every drum set in the JV1080, and also note names for every set. I have 30 sets spread out over 9 banks (5 internal sound banks and 4 expansion card sound banks). Do I need to create 30 separate mapped instruments in the environment? Or will Logic automatically recognize bank and set changes within a single mapped instrument? Forgive me for my confusion on this. Dan
