Sorry for the delay, I am just catching up.
I use the OEM SoundDiver that shipped with the JV-1010 on three units, and
I'm able to save patches, performances, all of that. I wonder if the part
you are missing is that you need to send them to the device? SD keeps
everything in parallel. It's pretty maddening sometimes if you forget to
transmit. But from the symptoms you describe, this is most likely the
problem.
Anyway, once you've set up a performance, right click it in the device
manager view, and choose Transmit. (It may be called something else, but
similar - sorry, I'm at work at the moment!)
Maybe there is a setting to do this automatically, but I haven't found it
yet in 6 years of messing with it.
