Hi, I think problematical links are at the route of these problems, not the download size, ISP etc - these issues have been around on and off for several years (see past posts from Michael H. on the subject). I'd imagine that the trouble is no one is now fully maintaining the original site, so it's going to be down to users who've already downloaded and archived the files to help out... IMO, I doubt Apple are interested. They probably see the soft synth 'revolution' as the future, yet there are so many great sounds to be had from older gear like the Kurzweil 2500, Roland D-550 (yes, really!) and others. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the are any soft synth versions of these, so I'm always going to want a librarian/editor for these 'dinosaurs'.
