I have only been a MAC /Logic user for about 6 weeks. Coming from the PC
world, and being a former Audtion and Cubase user, at first I hated Logic
but now I'm starting to really, really enjoy it.
Since my version of Logic Express did not come with a secret de-coder ring,
I've had to rely on a lot of great info here which has helped tremendously.
I have also burnt out my retinas endlessly scanning the manual. The
environment is still a huge mystery to me but, otherwise, Logic is great to
work with.
I recently updated to 7.2.1, as well as OSX 10.4.9. I now find that about 1
out of every 5 times I try to open LE, I get a "Logic has failed to
open"
message and I must force quit to close it. A restart always returns all to
normal. The last time this occured I also tried to open Garageband after
force quiting LE. GB gave me the same message.
This only seems to happen with LE/GB and no other app. Perhaps it is an OSX
issue and, since I am a noober for both Mac and LE, perhaps its a dumb user
issue. In any case, any thoughts or suggestions for a solution would be
greatly appreciated.
I have an 20" 2.16 Intel core 2 iMac, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB LaCie external
HD.
