Hi Group!...
You probably already discussed this topic before, but I'm in panic
with a Live-gig coming up in a week.
Does anyone know of a Mac-based setup to perform live with softsynts.
I want to use Logic, Reason & Nativ Instruments as my main sound-
sources and want to use a really compact rig.
I've heard that I probably need to use a laptop, but would prefer
something more roadworthy...
Anyone!...

I used an intel iMac with a soft road case. carried it on the plane,
travelled around the US and Canada. Worked great.

My 12" Powerbook G4 has been doing fine for this. If you can get it
it's own stand on stage to isolate it from major vibrations or if not
as a minimum sit it on a cushion or soft bag on the floor. Don't rest
it on your main playing keyboard.
The only thing that has failed was it's hard drive which I replaced.
It was after this that I decided not to sit the computer on the side
of my playing keyboard.
