Subject: Logic Pro 7.2.3 Can you save for previous versions?
Message #221977
My song File (created in Logic 7.2.3) needs to be opened by another user with Logic 7. (not universal version). Is there a way to save the file so it may be opened by previous versions of Logic?

Here is a summary of what you can and cannot do with Logic 7.2.x songs: In order for them to be played back in Logic 7.0.x or 7.1.x (on a PPC Mac) they first of all have to be opened and saved again in logic 7.2.x on a PPC mac. You can't take a 7.2.x song from an intel mac and open it on a PPC Mac running a version of logic older than 7.2 The only older version of logic which will open Logic 7 songs, AFAIR, is 6.4.3. There is no "save as" feature in logic 7 which allows logic songs to be opened in other even older versions of logic kind regards Mark
