Subject: [LUG] Help with midi
Message #221909
Can anyone explain how to assign midi controllers to plugins in Logic such as battery or bdf. I am completely lost with midi.... I know that certain 'things' have number values attatched to them for example in my Korg pad control under the heading Midi control change messages it says that sound conroller resonance is CC 71. Does this mean that in order to control this parameter on battery all i have to do is assign a conroller on my korg padKontrol to control number 71? I have tried this and it doesnt seem to work. When i assigned the controller the value of 20 (which my manual says is pan) the pan control in Logic was effected. What are the difference between Control change messages, programme messages etc. If anyone could give me some tips on how to control paramters in my favourite plugins such as Absynth, Battery and BFD i would be very grtaeful. I am aware that some instruments have midi learn functions which is a life saver to me but i would dtill like to know the fundamentals. Chjeers J
