Seems obvius to me (unless we're not speaking about the same stuff here.
Screensets are arrangements of windows as you seem best fit for the
way you wor and your needs
I have always one screenset with one arrange and one matrix editor
with the windows linked; other with arrange and event list editor and
so on…
By the way to me pro tools mst of the time(except for some feaures )
is clumsy and bores me to death.
The customization side is one of the charms of Logic.
I wonder , if it is so much lacks so many features as you seem to
think why are you still using it? ?

Because others are missing even more features that are relevant to me. That
easy.
Still, your point about screensets is absolutely invalid. Believe me, I'm
using them with great pleasure and I do *exactly* know what they are about
and what they aren't.
And emulating inline editing isn't even remotely possible with them.
Just one example: Try to compare a MIDI part with an audio part. How are you
going to do that? Open both Sample Edit and a Matrix? Fine. Now, what about
the zoom settings? Zoom them both, so they display the *exact* same range?
Good luck with that, it's almost impossible already. Then, what if you
change the zoom setting on either of them? Yeah right, you gotta do that for
the other as well. Working like that is absolutely impossible.
With MIDI inline editing in the arrange, all zoom changes would apply to
both parts, so they would always line up properly.

He's right when it comes to the inline editing, it can be done with
screensets but it's very slow compared to what he asks for. To me this is
one of the only serious flaws in Logic, and of course serious is a very
strong word for something that is not essential.
I record many bands who use clicktracks and they almost always drift
slightly away from the beat. In such cases it would be a lot easier to align
(quantized) midi tracks with audio if they were both visible in the arrange
window.
