1) guitar amp modelling in iPod: plug your guitar into your iPod with a
guitar chord fitted
with a magnetic connector (so you don't damage your iPod as you rock out).
I mean, why
not?! And while you're at it, why not record cool guitar ideas in your
iPod. "The kids would
dig it."
2) iPod virtual instrument playback via midi controller - plug your usb
keyboard into your
iPod and play piano, etc.
Do you have other ideas that the Emagic team could bring to the iPod? Post
'em, I say.

Maybe a Logic iPod edition that allows you to open a Logic Session
and play it back, not sure of how the iPod can handle multi-track
audio files though...

maybe i'm just being a curmudgeon, but i don't see how any of this
would be helpful at all. ipods were meant to play music, and they do
that well. they now also do a crappy job of playing videos and
games. as much as they look sort of a like a tiny computer, they're
still a single-tasker by design. did you ever wish your discman
could do multitrack recording or record guitar tracks?
also, i'm not sure why the portability would be so hot. why not get
an MacBook? is there really a situation where you would have a
guitar you wanted to record but couldn't carry around a laptop? at
some point, there just isn't a good reason for that much portability.
i'd much rather see the logic developers spend their time on advances
to the actual application that professionals use to achieve
professional quality results. not something which, in the end, would
be just a mediocre gimmick to sell more ipods.

I have absolutely *nothing* to add to this, but I *need* to second it
wholeheartedly.
