I'm using Cubase 3.7r1 on a PIII 550 and it is solid as hell. Cubase had been pretty shitty for a while but it does look like Steinberg is getting their act together. Steinberg has been concentrating more on the audio side of things than the MIDI side. Logic clearly kicks ass in the MIDI department, but Logic can't touch Cubase when it comes to audio. It seems that Steinberg is always pushing their product beyond the capabilities of the system that runs it, which is probably why many people have so many problems with it. I am a former Cubase user who switched to Logic who switched back to Cubase. I am not trying to persuade anyone to switch to Cubase, I am just saying that Cubase isn't the piece of shit that it used to be. ----- Original Message ----- From: "justin" <cecily@...> To: <logic-users@onelist.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 21, 1999 1:13 AM Subject: Re: [LUG] Cubase V Logic > From: "justin" <cecily@...> > > ok so i bashed cubase just a few days ago and said it looks like tetris > HOWEVER > while searching the net for new plugins i came back upon steinbergs site > after a long time of not visiting it. and you know what? by the looks of > things, steinberg has thier act together WAY more than emagic. just the > amount of new releases alone has got me really questioning things. they also > seem to be up to date with thier testing and bug fixing for both platforms. > of course i'll never know till i try, but fortunately i just found that > students and educators can purchase Cubase VST full and new for a mere $135 > from www.zzounds.com. that, my friends, is a steal. if i like it enough, > perhaps i'll upgrade to 24. i will always love logic and i highly doubt that > cubase will have better timing or a more professional feel, but i am smart > enough not to completely ignore these guys cause they are creating quality > stuff it seems. comments? > > justin > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "BasharAR" <basharar@...> > To: <logic-users@onelist.com> > Sent: Monday, December 20, 1999 7:34 PM > Subject: Re: [LUG] Cubase V Logic > > > > From: BasharAR <basharar@...> > > > > Digital Performer is the Pretty Blond of sequencers.... > > Protools 5...................No comments yet > > Logic best midi sequencer. > > > > > funny i always thought that digital performer was better than logic, but > not > > > as good as protools. any opinions? > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Unsubscribe: mail to logic-users-unsubscribe@onelist.com > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Unsubscribe: mail to logic-users-unsubscribe@onelist.com >
