When you do any Beatmapping, Logic prevents song elements from moving in realtime even if they aren't SMPTE-locked. It seems to do this by temporarily freezing/holding everything in place during the operation, then releasing unlocked items again. So if you beatmap ("re-clock") an entire song, it will still sound the same though it will have a new tempo map. NB: If you manually switch tempo maps (alternatives), watch out! Stuff not locked will stay with beats and not with realtime, and therefore , stuff will move... ________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ Jonathan Perl • Associate Director, Sonic Arts Center at the City College of New York. sonic.arts.ccny.cuny.edu • Apple Certified Trainer for Logic Pro.
