Any suggestions if one should opt for the (160GB) 5400 or the (100GB) 7200
rpm internal hard drive?
I assume the 7200rpm is faster, and costs 90€ less... but it may be more
noisy.

Apple used to offer the 7200RPM drive in the 15" model
but stopped doing that sometime in October.
They must have JUST stopped doing that then, because I just got my
15" with the 7200 pre-installed three days ago.
True, I had to have it special ordered that way and they don't offer
it as a stock option, but they did it, nonetheless.
I can't imagine I could curry favor with Apple that the next guy
doesn't have!
I'd double/triple check before you make any decisions, just in case.
