Subject: [LUG] overdub out of sync
Message #220630
Greetings, I'm using logic 7.21 on an intel i mac with 2 gigs of ram with an RME fireface 800 interface. I recorded live eight tracks of drums one bass and a scratch vocal/guitar on the last remaining track - ten tracks total, 24 bit - 88.2KHz. This all worked perfectly. I then processed the drum and bass tracks with Wave Arts plugins to get a nice sound and used one reverb on a buss. Now when I overdub guitar tracks they lag when played back. I did a test by recording a pre existing track to an open track compared the wave forms and confirmed the lag, about a tenth of a second. The system preformance is at about 25%. I worked with the recording delay in audio and hardware drivers and was able correct it pretty close, but I think the lag varies on system load (plugins). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank, John

Are you recording with software monitoring enabled? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Paul Najar Jaminajar Music Production www.jaminajar.com
