If you mean the CD's Logic Platinum installer - LAPSetup.exe
- then yes. Someone else I sent the file to had success also.

I'll have to dig the CD out again to check but the Platinum and
Gold installers are the only exe files on there. Don't think
there's any mention of the dongle/key at all.

I'm pretty sure that, pre v5, anything other than the 4.8.1 version
on the Win2000/XP CD (mentioned before) was Win 98/ME only.
If you can dig way back into the LUG archive to around the
time this CD was made available though, you should find loads
of relevant threads.
As far as I know, you need the above CD or at least the special
Logic 4.8.1 installer that's on it. I can send this file send to you
also if you want.
I've had several requests for this now - a home really should be
found for it (along with the Gold version) in the LUG 'files' area,
seeing that Apple's own Logic/Windows downloads section doesn't
go further back than v5. Failing that, if someone has room to host
it, I'll upload an image of the whole CD for people to burn for
themselves.
