Subject: [LUG] EXS24 - Celtic Whistle - pitchbend?
Message #220530
I am using a Celtic Whistle software instrument (EXS24) in my mix, and am trying to get the pitchbend/glissand type FX for it. I have in the past for other instruments (dobro etc.) changed the velocity and this works fine but not with the whistle! Should I be using some other setting (pitch bnd / mod wheel)? I know when I look in the directory I see the instr. sounds for this, but I'm just not too sure on how to operate. This apple EXS instrument which came on one of my apple loop disks doesn't seem to have the info, so any help would be much appreciated. Regards CHUG

Why not use the pitch bend control? Opening the Celtic Whistle sampler reveals there are four groups of eighteen samples each, programmed to respond to continuous controller 1 midi data: - vibrato, from 0 to 9 - vibrato + slur, from 10 to 63 - no vibrato, no slur, from 64 to 117 - no vibrato but slur, from 118 to 127 So what else do you expect?
