Subject: [LUG] Groove TEMPLATES QUESTIONS-how to save grooves
Message #220470
OK, I understand how to make a groove template, either from audio or from MIDI or by importing a DNA groove, but my question is this. When i Make the groove, it becomes available in the drop down list of any midi tracks quan paramerters. BUT, when i close logic and restart, these grooves dissapear. I know in Cubase, you could save them, and each time you'd restart cubase they would be there. SO, is there any way to do this in Logic? Thanks dan

Alternatively you can just save the MIDI files the templates are based on to some place on your harddrive. Whenever you need them, you can simply drag them into your arrangement and perform the groove template creation again. Regards Sascha

It's probably also worth mentioning for the original poster that the midi files or regions must be in the song. Delete them from the arrange, you loose them which makes it somewhat cumbersome to keep a whole bunch of them in an autoload. If you do, it probably makes sense to stuff them into a folder and hide it so you aren't looking at it all the time. ___ Nathan Rosenberg Music Production The Doghouse NYC www.doghouseNYC.com -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
