Just researching some options for setting up a dedicated computer and software sampler for keys and one of the possibilities (although probably not the most elegant) is EXSP24 in Express running on an old Mac. Does Express have an Environment? I need to cable one midi input to several instances at once. Is that possible under Express? Other suggestions (Mac or PC) most welcome. I need to be able to trigger minimum 5 layers of samples per key, and have each of those layers linked to separate midi controllers to alter their relative volumes. Can something like Kontakt do that, and will it work as a standalone App? A standalone App would be the ideal solution. Cheers, Stephen.
