Message #219541
Hi guys I am having a nightmare with latency at the moment. My set up is Logic 7.0.0 , Mac OSX 10.3.9 Dual ghz, 512 Memory , Motu 828... I have tried to reset through logic the various parameters buffer size etc , but the latency doesnt change , I am looking at my MOTU console and dont seem to see anything related I am wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me what to do Thanks vanechka

Instructions are here: <http://tinyurl.com/nkzoa>; Also, make sure you have the latest driver version available here: <http://tinyurl.com/jyrhg>; I run my 828 on a buffer setting on 512 without any latency, also make sure you don't have any plug ins that introduce latency on your main Output channel strip... michael

If the original poster has software monitoring latency that can't be changed by reducing the audio buffer size, perhaps they have enabled "all" in plugin delay compensation, and have inserted delay-inducing plugins somewhere on one or more tracks. That will delay all other tracks, including inputs, and result in increased monitor latency.
