Hi
I have a Macbook pro, and both logic pro and Pro Tools 7.1.1.
I want to use my Digi002 as an audio interface for Logic. It works as a
player, but if i try to record i get 0dbfs white noise.
I've tried to record in Pro tools with the same setup, it works perfectly.
The problem is only in Logic pro.

Hi Matias
This is a known problem. You should upgrade to Pro Tools 7.1.1cs1 to solve
this; it is a free download from the Digidesign website.
Good luck,

Pants,
Thanks for setting me straight on this issue. After spending a
fortune on Digidesign hardware and software, and way too much time on
this issue, I had given up using Logic with my new MacBook Pro and was
resigned to using "Pro" Tools LE. I could not get to the bottom of
the
problem, and at the time, my dealer didn't know of it either (there
was no cs2 AFAIK).
I cannot express my utter frustration at Digidesign about these types
of issues enough. Their web site really does stink; it's very
difficult to find anything resembling information on it about reported
bugs. Their drivers are obtuse and, it seems to me purposefully,
difficult to use with third party software. I only bought the 002R as
I sometimes need to use Pro Tools for tracklaying for film. I would
strongly recommend people to use another interface if they want to use
Logic, such as ones from MOTU/RME etc, unless you absolutely have to
use Pro Tools. Even then, I would recommend just buying an MBox for
Pro Tools, and a proper interface for Logic, and keeping the systems
mutually exclusive.
Digidesign as a company has increasingly adopted a hardcore
"corporate" philosophy over the past few years since the Avid
takeover, and I really hope my 002R system will be the last Digidesign
product I ever buy.
