I've got a Korg Electribe that I have many loops that I want to sync
with the tempo in Logic and be able to generate separate layers of
the loops from the start time. I know when I did this with an engineer
in Pro Tools, he had some kind of external midi/smpte sync box. What
do I need to make this work in Logic? thanks a million.
are you asking a if it is possible to do it without an external clock? it
is.
but with or without, you will need to use the environment to set up what
will act as slave and what will act as master.

----------------
i want to LOCK IN all the separate drum loops from a pattern -- example,
Pattern #44 is the main loop on the electribe
but it has 6 or so different unique parts that I wish to separate into its
OWN track in Logic.
When i hit the record button on Logic, I want it to trigger the Electribe in
the same place every time so basically I'm
re-building the original loop with it's 6 different tracks. Do I need
anything other than a midi interface and set ups
in logic and the electribe to make this work? Or do I need any additional
special hardware or anything to get this
up and running?
THANKS
you could record the audio of th eloops in one pass at a time.
if you spread the parts out to all four outputs using hard panning, you
could get 4 instruments down at a time. more if you didnt mind a track with
more than one instrument.
just mute the "other" sounds during the passes.
