I got informed that 10.4.8 introduces a new "rounding bug" where for example rounding 68,103448275862 to two decimals results in 68.11 which is wrong. Apart from spread sheets that can affect programs which deal with accurate display, timing or other tasks which depend on calculations. As I learned only Intel based Macs are affected and on them only programs running under Rosetta. There is no bugfix officially announced yet. If one runs such programs on an Intel Mac you it might be better to wait for a later upgrade. ___ Peter Ostry

I'm just curious if most of the problems associated with upgrading to Tiger 10.4.8 have been resolved at this point? Personally, I am running a 2408 with logic - has anyone successfully gotten this to work with the upgrade? -- Thanks - RevDave CoolCat@hosting4days.com [db-lists]

LP 7.2.3 + 10.4.8 + RME Multiface + 2 X UAD-1 on a 2 x 2GHZ G5 PCI. All is stable. What problems are you referring to? I'm running 10.4.8 with a PCI-424 and 2408 Mk II with no problems. This is on a pre-Intel G5 dual 2.0.

AMT8 still recognized and running fine in 10.4.8/Logic 7.2.3/AMS.. Maybe try deleting the drivers and reinstalling the latest Logic update, unless thats what you meant by 'reloading' the drivers already. --- Chris www.monotrematamusic.com www.descentrecords.com

I have a Unitor8 MkII and an AMT8 chained, and have had no problems with them since the update. So whatever is up with his system, it doesn't appear to be a universal problem with 10.4.8.

I can't make comment on that but I can tell you that I use a Ver1 Unitor 8 via a Stealth Serial Port and all is well here. I suspect that there are many AMT + 10.4.8 users here so if 10.4.8 were the real source of this user's issues there would be a whole lot more responses - or did I miss a thread - quite possible as well... I have 2 x AMT8's and a Unitor 8 mk 1daisy chained on my G5 running 10.4.8- everything is working fine here. James Richmond
