I can save everyone some time, because I read the VSL forum all the
time. Nobody has it working yet with Macs.

Yes, I have a gigabit network.

You're way informed about the details of ethernet than I am, Peter,
and it sounds like you've described the technical issues accurately.
And yet people are using FX-Teleport (www.FX-Max.com) in high-volume
professional situations with none of the problems you mention.
Unfortunately it's only for Windows. (Jesse White, a consultant in
L.A. who's set this up for a lot of people, actually had a big
article about this in our April/May issue.)
Max is supposedly working on a Mac version, but it hasn't appeared.
