Subject: [LUG] bouncing down sounds 'flat'
Message #219289
Hi guys, when i bounce down audio created from softsynths etc it always sound 'flat' compared to how i had it originally. normally i create a synth part or bass part in a soft synth like the legacy or absynth, add some processing then bounce it down, reimport it and move on to creating the next sound. when i do this the imported audio ALWAYS sound less impressive than how i originally heard it. I normally process it with Logics delays, flanger, chorus so perhaps this is why? would it be best to bounce the 'dry' signal then process it? I have an m-audio 18/14 interface, and decent moniters so i can definately notice the difference. Any ideas that might improve the sound? Also, anone know of any good sites/tutorials that teach the basics of constructing different types of electronic dance music. Cheers John
