When a card has a quoted latency of xx ms, what do they mean exactly by this? Is it the delay between recording a signal and hearing it at the output? (Monitoring Latency?) Is it the delay between recording an effect bypass and then waiting a second for it to cut in?(Automation Latency?) The delay between pressing a note on a midi keyboard and the ES-1 or Neon responding? Or moving cutoff on the Autofilter and waiting for it to catch up? (Real Time Latency?)
