Subject: LAMP 4.11: bug in tempo fader?
Message #11761
I'm a bit bored of finding new bugs!...here is the situation: I have a dozen of simple midi tracks, each one is a piano solo song. I recorded the tracks without metronome, but at different bpm, so i decided to insert a tempo meta event at the beginning of each track, so to make every track have its own tempo selected as i play it. I made a transformer object, which splits meta events to the top cable, which goes into a tempo fader, and sending all the other events (by second table) to my piano instrument. Now...what does happen as i play a track? The tempo changes correctly, but after a few bars Logic (LAMP 4.1.1) comes out with this "Error while trying to synchronize Audio and midi". I haven't ANY audio track in arrange window!! Ok, i had the Direct IO Driver activated (turning it off the error doesn't appear anymore)...so EMAGIC: how can an audio driver (NOT used in any way, but active) to interfer with my midi only timing and stability? From now on all try to remember to turn the audio driver off when working just with midi...a bit boring, but i'll do :( Using LAMP 4.1.1, B&W 400 G3, Unitor 8, AMIII thanks for your attention : stefano.cecere@... : http://www.krur.com
