I ran a G4 1 MHz with a D1010 and a D410 until recently - I had 1.5

You have got the two cards linked physically, haven't you? You need
to plug a digital out from one card into the digital in of the other.
Also
in the M-Audio panel - check you've chosen the right one to act as
master (the one you're using digital out from).
