hi tracey.. using trav on a 2x2 G5 and a PBg4 500 for the last year..,
no probs here.. sounds great ( used to have a 001) though i dont really
put it through its paces.. havent done any bus powered recording on the
PB yet but will be in the next few months.. havent recorded to more
than a couple of inputs at same time... its got such a high spec and
multiple I/O that it was an easy choice for me..and the portability
thing..
bt raves about it keyboard mag..
i also havent run a HD off the back of it yet so dont know about that
performance side
logic 7.1.1 sees it everytime ,as does live 5..
does go "click" when it finds sample rates.
if you dont need the portablilty the RME fireface is raved about ... in
my small experience the m-audio stuff is haaaarrrssshh....
im happy with choosing it

hey, yeah i use traveler.,
good interface, converters are different from mkii,
sounds abit better, noise level even though unherd in
compare with mkii is lower, and preamps give colour to
the sound, its not a bad card for the price.

What is your goal here? Your OSX Nord and Orville editors should be
able to coexist with Logic no problem.

George is right. And if you just don't want to record SysEx you can
filter it out after your physical input without altering any other
messages. Take a transformer, set the above dropdown menu to "true
->
upper cable" and nothing else. That blocks SysEx, don't know why.

it worked brilliantly!
for some reason i didnt have a physical input object in my click and
ports environment layer so i addded one, removed the sum output going
to recording and thru, took the output of the port i wanted to filter
and put it thru a transformer with the settings you suggested, put
cables direct from the other ports to recording and thru and.. voila!
thanks again

Good!
Just a final note: You can leave the SUM port connected, no need to
cable single ports if you don't process them in any way. The physical
input works like a Channel Splitter. Everything which hasn't a cable
goes to SUM.
It does not hurt if you leave it as it is now, though.

I use a 2408 MKIII and love it ... I heard that the traveler is a tiny bit
better yet...
