You need to turn the icon to the bus on, by selecting the track info (the box below the toolbox) in the environment, and checking the icon box. This allows the track to be seen in your available items in the arrange window's track list (the list that comes up when you try and assign a track type to a new track). Just select it from the list, and you're ready to go. George ________________________________________________________ www.utopiaparkwaymusic.com Mac AND PC: The only way to fly 8-}

[reposted] A little while ago it was discussed how cumbersome it was to have to add a bus, output, etc. to the Arrange Window in order for it to be shown in the Track mixer (which mirrors only the contents of the Arrange window unless global mode is turned on). I found a little bit of a shortcut that makes this a bit more streamlined while mixing: Let's say you're in the Track Mixer and you want to add a bussed effect, say for some drum tracks. You add the bus send to your track(s), and then double-click the bus button to turn on global mode in the Track Mixer and take you to the bus. Once you have the bus selected, option-double-click it and it will be added to the Arrange window, at which point it will remain in the Track Mixer when you turn off global mode. (This is documented in the manual, but I'd never noticed it before. I only recently started using the Track Mixer after years of mixing in the Audio Mixer environment window.) Enjoy!
