Hi,
I guess there is no way to automate Send bypass, like it is possible
to automate Insert bypass?
Cannot understand why.. the shift/ctrl/alt solution works again in
7.1.1, but you cannot do it in realtime while playing, like you can
do with inserts.

Not within the automation. You can do it via the environment but that
is not very convenient.
But you can automate the amount of send. Maybe that helps? If you
draw the lines there is not much difference. If you automate by hand
the way down is quick enough - but back up to the right value isn't
that easy...

Well it is actually very easy, using the shift/ctrl/alt method, but
is not nearly as convenient as alt-clicking the send destination.. as
convenient as the inserts are. What a pity.

Shift/Ctrl/Alt?
That does nothing here. What does it for you?
Here alt–clicking the send sets it to 0 dB, the default value. But I
guess you don't want it there because then you won't have a problem.

I mean shift/ctrl/alt+rectangle in track automation view. It creates
two nodes on each side and selects the middle line. So you can drag
it to zero and the previous values before and after this part are
preserved.
And what I meant is alt-clicking the send destination, that blue box
with something like "Bus 14" written on it. I do lots of stuff
where
the sends are most of the time at -inf and from time to time they
would shortly jump to some fixed value. Bypass automation would be
perfect for this...
