Subject: [LUG] Can't Zoom out far enough
Message #204244
In pro 7 im working on an hour long radio program, I can't zoom out far enough to see a significant portion of the project in the arrange window. This makes it very difficult to move clips around. I seem to have the zoom maxed out, any settings or tricks im not aware of?

What you get at max zoom out is as good as you'll get in one window AFAIK - an hour is a bit more than the makers were planning to cater for. While most people wouldn't work on tracks that wouldn't fit in one zoom maxed-out Arrange window (and for whom the zoom-out limit is conveinent to prevent ridiculous extremes), you'd think that they would offer the option for that to be altered in the Prefs (after all, we're talking Logic here). But I guess not - oh well. What you *could* do, however (if you're not using too many tracks), is open four or five Arranges (zoom maxed out), squish and reduce them vertically so that they're long flat rectangles, tile them on top of each other, and set each one to successive time positions, so you can see your whole session displayed in rows. It's hardly ideal, but it's all I can think of.
